In this article, we want to take you "behind the scenes" to show you how Triple Lock Self Storage
prepares your storage unit for you before we allow you to rent it and before you move in.
Now, with most other storage comapnies, when a renter moves out, they simply rent the unit to the
next customer. And when you get to your newly rented storage unit, you may find items or trash left over
from the previous owner. And, the unit may also be dirty. This is hardly a place where you want to store
your precious belongings. It's likely that you are very tired from packing and moving items and not at all
in any mood to clean out any leftover debris from previous renters. Sadly, when you contact the storage
company management about this situation, they don't do much for you except to tell you to just throw the
stuff out. That is the last thing you want to do.
So, how are we different and what do we do for you? There is quite a bit that goes on behind the scenes before
you ever are able to rent one of our storage units. Here is just some of what we do for you:
- First, we make sure the unit is completely emptied out.
- Next, we thoroughly sweep out the unit so it is clean for you.
- We check and lubricate the opening latch. If the latch is not in excellent shape we replace it.
- We spray down and with the inside of the unit with Lysol difenfectant.
- We lubricate the door spring for and easy up and down movement.
- We spray the interior floors where the floor meets the wall with a natural and good smelling
peppermint spray which acts as a rodent repellent (and makes your unit smell good too). - We spray the outside edge of your unit door with the same peppermint spray.
- We put a small pouch of peppermint/cinnamon in the back corner of your unit to continuously
act as a rodent repellant (they hate this smell and avoid the area).
Additionally,
- We have continuous 24/7 camera/security video monitoring and recording of the facility for your protection.
- We have a fully fenced in facility.
- We have bright LED lighting all over the facility during the dark hours.
- We have individually coded electronice gate access with entry/exit times and time inside
the facility recorded. - We have regular on site facility management personnel to check that your locks are locked
and your doors are fully down and secured.
